The Radiologist will provide expert imaging analysis and opinion, performing various radiological procedures, and providing consultation to referring physicians.

Sub-specialty imaging expertise is considered an asset.

The Radiologist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and diagnose medical images, such as X-rays, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
  • Perform radiological procedures, including fluoroscopy, mammography, and non- vascular interventional radiology.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement programs to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Stay up to date with new developments and advances in radiology through continuing education and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree and completion of a residency in Radiology.
  • Cross-sectional or Breast fellowship preferred.
  • Board certification or eligibility for board certification in Radiology.
  • Provincial medical license or eligibility for Provincial medical license.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a recognized Radiologic Technology program
  • Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT)
  • Member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Applies safe and effective radiation practices as well as infection prevention and control practices

Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Education Coordinator – Alberta Employment Opportunities!


CGA Medical Imaging is seeking a passionate Sonographer to join our team in Alberta. This unique opportunity is designed for experienced Sonographers who enjoy teaching and want to have a lasting impact on the future of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in Alberta.

Locations: Calgary (occasionally High River), AB

Our commitment extends beyond patient care—we are also deeply invested in shaping the next generation of Sonography professionals. This role combines clinical scanning with active precepting responsibilities, making it ideal for candidates who thrive in both patient care and mentorship.

Role Overview

The Sonographer Education Coordinator will:

  • Actively scan while precepting students of all levels in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Oversee CGA Medical Imaging’s educational program, including arranging and leading educational rounds, case studies, and other continuing education initiatives for employees.
  • Serve as the company’s student liaison with partner colleges across Alberta.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students, while enhancing the professional development of current staff.

Successful Candidate

  • Graduate of a fully accredited Canadian Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (required).
  • Sonography Canada registration and insurance, current and in good standing (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in a Canadian hospital or clinic setting.
  • Previous precepting experience required; leadership experience is an asset.
  • Ability to provide a wide range of high-quality sonographic exams.
  • Experience in Nuchal Translucency, Breast, MSK, Vascular, and/or Echo preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, teaching, and mentorship skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English is required, as all work is conducted in English.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8-hour, day shift.

Successful applicants may be required to work at alternate locations within Calgary. Hiring for multiple positions, including a part-time or casual position for dedicated CRCS credentialed Sonographers.

Successful Candidate

  • 1 year scanning experience in a Canadian hospital or clinic setting, required
  • Graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, required
  • Must be Sonography Canada registered and insured, current and in good standing
  • Ability to provide a wide range of high-quality sonographic exams
  • Experience with Nuchal Translucency, Breast, MSK, Vascular, and/or Echo preferred
  • Preference will be given to candidates with MSK, Vascular, Breast and/or Echo experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
