Echocardiogram

Echocardiograms can be used to help physicians determine how well the heart is functioning.

  • An echocardiogram or “echo” is a specialized ultrasound of the heart using both 2-D images and doppler ultrasound. This non-invasive procedure provides information about the size, function of the heart, and blood flow through the chambers and valves.
