Liver Elastography

Elastography has been used to evaluate liver stiffness for more than 10 years.

  • Chronic liver damage results in the liver becoming stiffer than normal. Elastography can be used to assess liver stiffness non-invasively by measuring tissue behaviour through either ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging.
